Charter school still in question

Friday, March 27, 2015 —Whether the Lassen Union High School District will offer a charter school is still in question, but if it does, it will not be for students in kindergarten through 12th grades.

Rather, it will only serve those in high school.

The decision is based on comments heard during a public hearing on March 10 , according to superintendent Bill McCabe.

Initially, the plan was to offer a sixth-through 12th grade charter, according to McCabe.

The Lassen County Commission approves audits

Thursday, March 26, 2015 — Transportation Commission approved the audits for the 2013/2014 fiscal year.

The Lassen County Transportation Commission received an unmodified audit and the Lassen Transit Service Agency received an unqualified audit on its financial statements.

An unmodified and unqualified audit means the financial statements provide a fair view into the organization.
