Sept. 7, 2010 — Nine years ago this coming Saturday, Sept. 11 many of us walked around in a daze that fateful Tuesday morning. Just like people who said they remember where they were when they heard the news that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, people will remember where they were when they first realized America was under attack.
Sept. 11 is now known as Patriot Day and will be added to the history books along side Veterans Day (Armistice Day), the attack on Pearl Harbor and D-Day.
Aug. 31, 2010 — I am not sure how many readers know that in some newspaper markets new reporters start out in the sports statistics department or writing obituaries. Neither are glamorous Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporting assignments, but they are two of the mostly widely read sections of any newspaper.
Aug. 24, 2010 — One of the fundamental differences between Republicans and Democrats is smaller or bigger government. It is also one of the issues the Tea Party Movement has raised the last couple of years — How much interference does an average American adult want from the U.S. government? For the most part those in the Tea Party Movement are conservatives and align themselves with the Republican Party, which for a while now has been the conservative party.
