Lassen Youth Soccer's U-19 boys' team is competing in a March Madness of its own, advancing to the Final Four of the Northern California Youth Soccer Association State Cup Saturday-Sunday, March 24-25 in Sacramento.

Lassen High School's Jeris Evans was named to the All-Northern Section third team last week by a panel of Northern California sportswriters. The senior averaged 12.0 points, 3.5 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals while shooting 48 percent from the field.
