DISHWASHER RECALL UNDERWAY
Because of reported electrical failures in certain dishwasher's heating elements poses a serious fire hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of approximately 1.7 million dishwashers, encouraging consumers to stop using the products immediately unless otherwise instructed. The recall includes Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, Admiral, Magic Chef, and Crosley brand dishwashers with plastic tubs and certain serial numbers. The affected dishwashers were manufactured with black, bisque, white, silver and stainless steel front panels.
