Prescribed burning on Almanor Ranger District
Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 — The Almanor Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is planning to implement a prescribed underburn in Plumas County as follows:
Descriptive location: Approximately 10 miles northwest of Chester.
Type of burn: Underburn to enhance existing Defensible Fuel Profile Zones previously thinned.
Total acreage: 140 acres.
Planned ignition: From today, Wednesday, Oct. 23 through Tuesday, Oct. 29, conditions permitting.
Impacted communities or smoke sensitive areas (if any): Almanor Basin, Feather River Rod and Gun Club, Stump Ranch and Childs Meadows.
