Hammond challenges Hanson in recall vote
July 2, 2013 — South County businessman Tom Hammond will run in the Special Recall Election for the District 5 supervisor’s seat held by Jack Hanson for Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013. Hammond will be Hanson’s only opponent.
District 5 voters will first answer the yes or no question — “Shall Jack Hanson be recalled (removed) from the office of County Board of Supervisors, Fifth District?”
If the majority of voters respond yes, the top vote getter will succeed Hanson. If the majority of voters respond no, Hanson will retain his seat.
