Kristin Volberg, the head nut at the Health Nut, tells us they are celebrating National Hemp Week this week. Many people don't realize the lowly hemp seed is full of nutrition and delicious! Hemp hearts are rich in omega 3 and 6 and tastes delicious right out of the bag, or sprinkled on cereal or yogurt. Hemp milk is also a great vegetarian and dairy alternative and comes in unsweetened, vanilla and chocolate. Hemp protein shakes are tasty and high in protein. The Health Nut will be featuring hemp products the whole month of June. Kristin says don't worry, this hemp is perfectly legal!
