Jan. 22, 2013 — January means its time for the Lassen County Times newsroom to get busy with the production of the 2013-2014 Lassen County Visitors Guide. This colorful publication is the area’s premiere guide to our picturesque corner of Northeastern California, and we’d like to offer photographers an opportunity to have their work seen in print by thousands of readers who pick up a copy of the publication at locations all across the county and those who view an electronic version when they visit our website, lassennews.com.
This year we plan to include information about places, events and lifestyles we haven’t covered in the past including hunting, nonprofit events, happenings in the North County, the hot springs in Wendel and ranching activities in Lassen County.
If you have a photo or photos that exemplify everything that makes Lassen County such a great place to visit, we encourage you to submit them via email to swilliams@lassennews.com.
Be sure to include details about where the photo(s) was taken, your phone number and permission for us to use it in our publication. The only remuneration we can offer for the use of your picture(s) is a photo credit. Deadline for submission is March 1, 2013.
We encourage scenic photos with people doing visitor-type activities, but scenics without people are also welcome. Pick up a copy of the 2012 Visitors Guide at a local business to get an idea of the kinds of pictures we’ve used in the past.
