Notice of Public Hearing
The City of Susanville Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing to consider approval, conditional approval, or disapproval of a Tentative Parcel Map to permit the division of two parcels totaling 35.86 acres, into four parcels of 18.75, 10.24, 4.08, and 2.79 acres. The Lassen County Assessor’s office has already mapped the proposed lot configuration as APNs 103-190-06, 07, 08, and 09, with parcels 06 and 07 being one beginning parcel and 08 and 09 being the other beginning parcel. The project is located in an R-1, R-3, MHP and R-4 (Single Family Residential. Duplex and Triplex Residential, Mobile Home Park and Multi-Family) zone districts with a general plan designation of single family residential, duplex and triplex residential, mobile home park and multi-family residential. The project is located at both sides of Paul Bunyan Drive between Skyline Road and Chestnut Street.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers in City Hall located at 66 North Lassen Street, Susanville, California. The public is invited to attend and provide written or verbal comments. Written comments to be included in the staff report must be received by the Tuesday prior to the meeting.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW STATUS: The city proposed to find that the project is categorically exempt from the CEQA review under section 15315 (Class 15) – Minor Land Division.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING is scheduled for JANUARY 17, 2012 AT 10:00 AM, located at 66 North Lassen Street, Susanville, CA 96130. This meeting is to inform bidders of project requirements and subcontractors of subcontracting and material supply opportunities. BIDDERS ATTENDANCE AT THIS MEETING WILL BE MANDATORY.
Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The Contractor shall possess a CLASS A CONTRACTORS LICENSE at the time this contract is awarded. This contract is subject to State contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code Section 12990.
Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions submitted after bid opening will not be treated as a bid protest.
Plans and specifications may be obtained for a NONREFUNDABLE FEE OF $10.00 PER SET. Plan sets are available for purchase from the City of Susanville Public Works Department offices located at 720 South Street, Susanville, CA 96130; Telephone (530) 257-1041. Technical questions should also be directed to this address and telephone number.
The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond.
Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county, or counties, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available from the California Department of Industrial Relations' Internet Web Site at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/PWD.

A Petition for Probate has been filed by LEA VANDERLY in the Superior Court of California, County of LASSEN.
The Petition for Probate requests that LEA VANDERLY be appointed as personal representative to administer the estate of the decedent.
The petition request authority to administer the estate under the Independent Administration of Estates Act. (This authority will allow the personal representative to take many actions without obtaining court approval. Before taking certain very important actions, however, the personal representative will be required to give notice to interested persons unless the have waived notice or consented to the proposed action.) The independent administration authority will be granted unless an interested person files an objection to the petition and shows good cause why the court should not grant the authority.
A hearing on the petition will be held on January 31, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. Dept. 2, located at Superior Court of California, County of Lassen, Hall of Justice, 2610 Riverside Drive, Susanville, CA 96130.
IF you object to the granting of the petition, you should appear at the hearing and state your objections, or file written objections with the court before the hearing. Your appearance may be in person or by your attorney.
IF you are a creditor or a contingent creditor of the decedent, you must file your claim with the court and mail a copy to the personal representative appointed by the court within four months from the date of first issuance of letters as provided in Probate Code section 9100. The time for filing claims will not expire before four months from the hearing date noticed above.
YOU may examine the file kept by the court. If you are a person interested in the estate, you may file with the court a Request for Special Notice (form DE-154) of the filing of an inventory and appraisal of estate assets or of any petition or account as provided in Probate Code section 1250. A Request for Special Notice form is available from the court clerk.
