Second armed robbery suspect arrested

Nov. 28, 2012 — The Susanville Police Department (SPD) announced it has arrested a second suspect in an alleged Thanksgiving Day armed robbery at a local gas station.

According to a press release from the SPD, Patrick Donald McKee, 27, of Susanville, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Spirit gas station on Main Street. McKee was arrested without incident and booked into the Lassen County Jail. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

According to the SPD, an arrest warrant had been issued for McKee charging him with armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

According to the SPD, the armed robbery occurred at the Beacon gas station at 1001 Main St. in the early morning hours of Thursday, Nov. 22. A clerk told officers two men allegedly held him up at gunpoint before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.

Susanville Police Chief Tom Downing said a shot was fired during the incident, but no injuries were reported.

On Saturday, Nov. 24, officers arrested Paul Carter Bauer, 18, of Susanville, on felony robbery, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon charges. Bauer was unarmed when located and arrested without incident. He was booked into the Lassen County Jail and is being held on $43,000 bail.

I am glad that both men are in custody. It is rather funny to think that these men who live in Susanville, decide to rob a local service station and they probally thought they wouldn't get caught? Hopefully now, they will take some time in prison and get some education (RESPECT FOR  OTHERS)
