Police handle suspicious situation on Numa Road

About mid morning Thursday, Nov. 15 the Susanville Police Department (SPD) responded to a call about a suspicious man sitting in a pickup truck behind Community Church’s new building on Numa Road in Susanville.

According to bystanders, the man did not respond when asked to leave the premises, so concerned citizens called the SPD. The man allegedly did not respond to police questioning either, so the area was secured and the local area SWAT was called in to handle the situation. Numa Road was closed off at the intersections of Cameron Way and Spring Ridge Road.
