Prescribed burning advisory near Highway 44
Nov. 15, 2012 — Be advised the Eagle Lake Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is planning an additional pile burning project near County Road A-21 and Highway 44.
•Descriptive location: Pegleg DFPZ pile burn, near County Road A-21 and Highway 44
•Type of burn: Pile burn —ponderosa pine and white fir timber litter.
•Total acreage: 18 acres.
•Planned initiation: Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16.
•Duration of ignition: Total of one to two days, depending on conditions.
•Estimated direction of smoke travel: Primarily east to northeast.
•Impacted communities or areas: Smoke will be visible from Highway 44 and A-21; may be some short-term impacts from smoke.
