Postal workers collect food

Tuesday, May 5, 2015 — Letter carriers on Saturday, May 9 will be collecting non-perishable food donations along their routes for delivery to the Salvation Army and to Crossroads Ministries.

It is the annual Stamp out Hunger drive conducted by the National Association of Letter Carriers — the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Place a food donation by your mailbox before your mail is delivered.

If you have a P.O. Box or reside in Standish, Litchfield, Westwood or anywhere in Lassen County, and would like to make a food donation, drop off any non-perishable food at either the main Post Office in Uptown Susanville or the Eagle Station on Johnstonville Road anytime before this Saturday.

Your letter carrier will deliver it to the Salvation Army and Crossroads Mnistries.
