Ribbon cuttings held for new businesses

Sunday, May 2, 2015 — The Westwood Chamber of Commerce welcomed two new businesses to town with a ribbon cutting at each establishment Monday afternoon, April 20.

The Lone Wolf Laundromat owned by John Luyster opened March 21 and Old Town Mercantile, managed by Marty and Diane Growdon, opened March 28. Both are located in the Young’s Supermarket shopping complex on Birch Street. Several members of the board of directors from the Westwood Chamber attended the ceremony. They were Lana Beal, president, Jodie Gunn, Sheri Binswanger, Terry Johnson, Bill Schneckloth and Growdon.

Also artisans and collectors who have their merchandise displayed at Old Town Mercantile, which operates as a co-op, were on hand.

The celebration included vanilla and chocolate cupcakes served by the chamber.
