Accident closes Highway 395, wind advisories in effect

\Nov. 29, 2012, 6:45 p.m.— According to Caltrans, Highway 395 is closed from 4.5 miles south of the junction of Highway 36 to the junction of Highway 36 due to an automobile accident. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.

A high wind advisory is in effect on Highway 395 from the Nevada state line to Johnstonville. Travel is prohibited for campers, trailers or permit loads.

A high wind advisory is in effect on Highway 395 from Johnstonville to the Oregon state line. Travel is prohibited for campers, trailers or permit loads.

A high wind advisory is in effect on Highway 395 from Lee Vining to Bridgeport. Travel is not recommended for campers, trailers or permit loads.

One-way controlled traffic restrictions are in place at various locations on Highway 395, including 2.9 miles north of Doyle to 6.4 miles north of Doyle from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 30 due to highway maintenance.

One-way controlled traffic restrictions are in place at various locations on Highway 395 from the junction of Highway 89 from the Nevada state line from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday through Dec. 27 due to construction. Motorists are subject to delays of up to 20 minutes.
