Special Vacancy Notice
The Lassen County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) is seeking members of the community interested in serving on the APCD's Hearing Board.
The APCD Hearing Board is a five-member quasi-judicial body that makes determinations on permit appeals, variances from local APCD rules and regulations, and considers requests for permit revocations and abatement orders. In accordance with the California Health and Safety Code, the hearing board is to consist of: an attorney, a professional engineer, a member of the medical profession (with specialized skills, training, or interests in the fields of environmental medicine, community medicine, or occupational/toxicological medicine), and two public members.
Applications for one, two, and three-year positions are available by contacting Lassen County APCD at (530) 257-1041. Completed applications must be returned to Lassen County APCD by February 7, 2014. The Lassen County Air Pollution Control District is a public health agency dedicated to protecting human health and property from the harmful effects of air pollution.

FOR THE LASSEN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND BUILDING SERVICES
The County of Lassen is seeking proposals from qualified firms for an automated Permit Tracking System (PTS) and document imaging system to process all permits and licenses and to support the processing of all development related functions in the County of Lassen.
The County of Lassen intends to implement a single Permit Tracking System to replace and migrate data from the permitting and inspections tracking system now in use. The current permitting system combines the information tracking needs related to code enforcement, permitting, and inspections of the Lassen County Planning and Building Services Department. The new Permit Tracking System must combine the needs of Building, Planning, Code Enforcement and Surveyor.
All proposals must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014.  Five complete proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked "Proposal for Permitting Software."  Proposals may be submitted in person or mailed to:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Lassen will conduct a public hearing by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 707 Nevada Street, Susanville, in order to discuss possible applications for funding under the Fiscal Year 2014/2015 (July 1 to June 30) State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to solicit citizen input on possible activities to be included in these applications.
The Community Development and Economic Development Allocations of the State CDBG program publish a combined "Notice of Funding Availability" (NOFA) each program year.  Eligible cities and counties may submit applications for CDBG funds under the NOFA. The maximum award limit is $2,000,000. The Economic Development "Over-the-Counter" (OTC) Allocation requires a separate application with a maximum limit of $3,000,000 per year. The NOFA also includes the Native American and Colonia's Allocations.  The Native American Allocation is only for areas with high concentrations of low-income Native American residents, who are not part of a federally recognized Native American Indian tribe or Rancheria.  The Colonia's funding is only for designated communities within 150 miles of the Mexican-American border.
