Restoration Project

Plumas Corporation is soliciting bids for equipment work on Greenhorn Creek in American Valley. The work consists of providing equipment, fuel, operators, repairs, mobilization and incidentals necessary to construct boulder vanes and a fish passage structure, using approximately 750 cy of boulders, and 3,000 cy of 3’ minus material. Project work will be scheduled according to needs of the main restoration project work underway concurrently. The project is located in American Valley, just north of Quincy, in the vicinity of Quincy Junction Rd. The work is expected to start with hauling rock on August 11 for one week, with in-channel construction beginning on August 18, and extending through September 15. Maintenance of downstream water flow and water quality during construction is an essential part of this project. ** All contractors are required to submit a experience evaluation form with their bid form.

The City of Susanville will hold a public hearing to solicit comments on proposed Resolution No. 14-5041, amending Resolution No. 11-4754, establishing Rates and Fees for City services for fiscal year 2014-2015.

The Lassen County Transportation Commission (LCTC) is now accepting proposals for the completion of an audit of the financial records of the LCTC and the Lassen Transit Service Agency (LTSA) for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2014 through 2016.

This work is subject to State contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990.

Proposal information and RFP packages can be obtained from the Lassen County Department of Transportation, 707 Nevada Street, Suite 4, Susanville, CA 96130, by downloading from our website at www.lassentransportation/org, or by calling Cynthia Raschein at (530) 251-8260.

Sealed Proposals must be submitted to the Lassen County Public Works Department, 707 Nevada St., Suite 4, Susanville, CA. 96130 by 4:00 P.M., Friday May 23, 2014 at which time they will be opened and referred to the evaluating committee. Proposals must be clearly marked "Audit Proposal" and bear the name of the agency, organization or firm making the proposal. Proposals received after this date will not be considered. At the option of the LCTC, a formal presentation by selected consultants may be held at the Lassen County Public Works Office.

The successful consultant will be required to comply with all applicable safety and health standards, and Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. All proposals and related documents shall be subject to the conditions of the federal financial assistance agreement between Lassen County Transportation Commission and the California Department of Transportation pursuant to the Federal Transit Act, as amended, and terms and conditions established under that Act will apply.

Notice is hereby provided that there is NO Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal in the consideration for award, as Lassen County receives less than $250,000 in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds annually.
