Juveniles arrested on assault, conspiracy charges
Sunday, May 6 — Two juveniles have been taken into custody after allegedly assaulting a 25-year-old man who is currently in serious, but stable condition at Renown Medical Center in Reno, according to a press release from the Susanville Police Department (SPD).
According to the press release, at approximately 9:20 p.m. Friday, May 4, officers were dispatched to the area of N. Railroad Avenue and Richmond Road on a report of a man down.Upon arrival, officers located Adam Mendes, 25, of Susanville, in the roadway and suffering trauma to the head. He was initially transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center before being trasferred to Renown Medical Center due to his injuries.
Due to evidence at the scene and subsequent investigation, officers were led to an address on Prospect Avenue where on Saturday, May 5, they arrested the juveniles ages 14 and 15. They were booked into the Lassen County Juvenile Hall on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. They are being held without bail, pending a court appearance.
