Supervisors hold special pool meeting
Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 — The Lassen County Board of Supervisors and the Susanville City Council will be holding a special joint meeting at 9 a.m. Monday. Nov. 18 at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall to consider a joint powers agreement for a community swimming pool.
The matter was scheduled to a separate day partly due to the absence of district 5 supervisor Tom Hammond at the Nov. 12 meeting, as he was in Washington D.C.
In addition, supervisors Larry Wosick and Bob Pyle expressed concern about either agency being able to easily pull out of the agreement. Any changes made would have to go back to the Susanville City Council for approval and councilmember Brian Wilson who was in attendance at the Nov. 12 meeting recommended the boards hold a joint meeting to stop going back and forth.
