Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 — The Susanville Municipal Airport hosts the annual Susanville Air Fair on Saturday, Aug. 16. Admission is free, and food and beverages are available.
The day begins with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. sponsored by the Susanville Experimental Aircraft Association.
The air show runs from 10 a.m. to noon. The show is family oriented, so bring the children. There will be lots of airplanes, including a L29 jet owned by Doc Blevins, a P51 Mustang, a Stearman PT 17 bi-plane, a remote-controlled airplane demonstration including a remote-controlled helicopter with 5 foot blades, Mountain Life Flight, helicopter rides, several antique bi-wing planes, Aviation Dreams will provide bi-plane rides for veterans and many aircraft will be on static display.
Fire agencies are expected to bring their aircraft and equipment, depending upon the fire conditions.
