Tuesday, July 1, 2014 — The Susanville Fire Department reminds residents of the firework restrictions in place in the city of Susanville for the Fourth of July holiday.
A city ordinance regulates the use of fireworks within the Susanville city limits. Any use of fireworks is illegal in Lassen County.
The city fire department makes the following recommendations regarding the safe use of fireworks during the Fourth of July.
Only “safe and sane” fireworks approved by the California State Fire Marshal may be used. These fireworks are available for sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until noon July 6.
