Wednesday, May 7 — Two Doyle residents were arrested Tuesday, May 6, after law enforcement agents conducted a traffic stop and found methamphetamine in the vehicle.

According to a press release from Kevin Jones, a captain at the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:45 p.m. a deputy, assisted by the California Highway Patrol, stopped a 2011 Chevy Camaro on Highway 395 at Red Rock Road.

The purpose of the stop was to execute a search warrant obtained by the Lassen County Narcotics Task Force for the Camaro as well as the owner of the vehicle, Christina Corona, 47, of Doyle, according to Jones.

Due to the nature of the investigation, Jones said K-9 officer Brinks and his handler responded for the execution of the search warrant.

Brinks assisted task force agents in finding more than one pound of methamphetamine in the vehicle. Other evidence was also discovered suggesting the narcotics were allegedly possessed for the purpose of sales.

Deputies, along with members of the Susanville Police Department served a search warrant on Corona’s residence as part of the investigation.

Corona, along with her passenger, Richard McCollum, 50, of Doyle, were arrested and booked into the Lassen County Jail on numerous drug charges including possession of narcotics for sale, transportation of narcotics for sale, transportation of narcotics across non-contiguous county lines and importation of narcotics into the state.

Corona’s bail was set at $90,000 and McCollum’s bail was set at $80,000.
