Sheriff hosts open house

April 28, 2014 — Interested community members will have the opportunity to learn more about the operations of the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office during an open house scheduled from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7 at 1415 Sheriff Cady Lane.

Staff will be available to provide tours of the sheriff’s office and county jail and the public will be able to learn about patrol and jail operations, 911 dispatch, civil investigations, sex offender registrants, boat patrol, concealed weapons permits and coroner operations.

Tours begin at 4:30 p.m. and will end at 6:30.

Lassen County Sheriff Dean Growdon will hold a question and answer session from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and the evening will conclude with a demonstration with Brinks, the new canine officer from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
