The California Inland Fisheries Foundation and Project Eagle Lake Trout host their annual Fourth of July Fundraiser, Saturday, July 4 at the Eagle Lake Park and Store. The event features casting contests for children an opportunity to meet with fishing guides, a barbecue, a horseshoe tournament, a giant raffle, a free raffle for children 3 to 12 years old and more. The Lassen County Arts Council hosts Debra Miller presents a summer art program from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 6 featuring fantasy space. Fantasy space art combines science and our knowledge of the universe to portray imaginary planets, exploding stars, space rocks and galaxies. Students will use a variety of materials including tempera paint, oil, pastel, white chalk, poster board, and even a toothbrush.
