Tuesday, March 4, 2014 — Things can sure change in a few short minutes if you’re talking about politics in Lassen County.
“I sold the ranch about three weeks ago,” Larry Wosick, Lassen County’s district 3 supervisor, said in a first of two telephone interviews with the newspaper Thursday, Feb. 27 regarding a circulating rumor around town he no longer lives in Lassen County.
At first, Wosick confirmed the rumor, “I’m not living here anymore …”
He also said he still owns real estate in Lassen County, receives his mail in Lassen County and is registered to vote in Lassen County.
“I asked (Lassen County Counsel) Rhetta (Vander Ploeg) about it because I knew it would come up,” Wosick said. “I knew this would be coming, and that’s why (I asked) before it (the sale of the ranch in Milford) even closed escrow.”
Wosick said he would like to continue and complete the work he’s started.
“I plan to help by doing it the rest of the year even if I’m not going to sign up again (to run for another term),” Wosick said. “I’d really like to help sanction that pool and make it happen and (make) some other stuff happen.”
