![]() | CUSTOM MADE TEPEES Randy Nelson has opened a business on Birch Street in Westwood handcrafting tepees. It’s called 2 Feathers Tipi. He makes them in several sizes — from miniature for things like doll houses or pets, to a large, 18- to 20-foot tepee that can be used for events and business attractions, and other sizes for just about everything in between. He also rents tepees for camping and other uses — delivery service available. These well-insulated tepees are offered in six tribal designs or can be custom-made. Photo by Valorie Chisholm |

NEW OWNERS AT GROCERY OUTLET Kathy and Dennis Marquard, new owners of the Susanville Grocery Outlet, first fell in love with our community when they came to help open the store 17 years ago. Since then they have successfully operated a store in Tuscon, Ariz. “We’re really looking forward to the small town and making this store better than ever,” Marquard tells us. They plan to expand their gluten-free and organic lines, in addition to revamping the store layout to make shopping easier. Be sure to stop by and welcome them to the community. | ![]() |
