CHILI COOK-OFF IN WESTWOOD
The 22nd annual Westwood Chili Cook-off is this Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Double “G” Iron Horse Saloon. Between noon and 4 p.m. there will be chili and salsa tasting, barbecue, lots of prizes, including a 50-50 giveaway, children’s games, face painting, Smokey Bear, great live music and more! Contestants can register for the cook-off at the Iron Horse Saloon prior to the Sept. 12 deadline. Proceeds from this charity benefit the community’s acclaimed Chimney Fund.
Wheels West is beginning the construction work on their lot and new office space. They are restoring the old building between their lot and NAPA Auto Parts which will house their new offices.
Jason Rieger said, "Thanks to the great community, we have been so busy selling vehicles, we need more room for more inventory."
They are giving back to the community using local contractors for 75 percent of the work that will be done. Rieger says the work should be complete in just a couple of months, and appreciates everyone’s patience while they are busy working on the upgrades.
