Belligerent man arrested at fair
Monday, July 22 — An allegedly belligerent and intoxicated man was arrested about 9:15 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Lassen County Fair.
According to a press release from the Susanville Police Department, officers responded to the midway after a report of two belligerent men causing problems.
The officers contacted the men, determined they were intoxicated and advised them to leave. But one of the men, William Boone, 21, of Susanville, refused to leave and allegedly pushed one of the officers. A struggle ensued, and the other officer deployed his taser on Boone. He was taken into custody and booked on a charge of resisting arrest.
Boone is currently being held on $10,000 bail, and the case has been referred to the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
