MARKETING THAT STILL MAKES SENSE
It's been some time since I've mentioned some of the many services our advertising and marketing departments offer at the Lassen County Times. Having more than 100 years of combined experience in marketing as well as in advertising layout and design, our team can effectively create solid advertising campaigns that consistently bring proven results for both businesses and professionals.
Print advertising in our newspapers here and in neighboring Plumas County has more than survived the test of time. Community newspapers are still and will continue to be a solid marketing solution that can bring you the results you should demand and deserve from your ad investment. With an average of more than 1,000 unique visitors daily looking at more than 3,000 page views, those interested in Internet marketing should consider our website, lassennews.com. It is by far the local leader when it comes to traffic creating exposure for your message. And it's priced right!
With the economic uncertainty we all face day in and day out, coupled with the growing confusion of where to advertise in this new media world, the last thing you need to worry about is having a successful marketing plan and that's where our team comes in. The right message, effectively created and delivered by a medium with consistent and proven readership will undoubtedly produce results. So, if you are feeling overwhelmed with the myriad choices, perhaps not satisfied with your present plan or simply want some insight on how to grow your business, we'd be more than happy to sit down and discuss your specific sales goals to suggest the right campaign tailored to meet your individual budget.
It’s really this simple: Our success depends entirely on making you successful. And, we are committed to doing just that!
LOTS OF GROWTH IN FIRST DECADE
Several milestones were accomplished this month for the Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance Agency. The agency has been operating for 10 years in Quincy and Susanville and opened a Reno location six years ago. However, the agency Mike and Valerie Flanigan purchased (formerly Murray and Edwards Insurance Agency) with the Leavitt Group has a very rich history. J.R. Murray started the family business in 1883 in Greenville with continuous operations for 130 years.
“We have come to know and love the communities and clients that we serve. And being part of the Leavitt Group that provides us with so many carrier choices makes a big difference, too. For Mike and I, whether it be clients, carriers or co-workers — it is all about the relationship,” said Valerie.
HUGE YARD SALE
The Susanville EAA Chapter 794 is having a huge yard sale from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at the Susanville Airport on Johnstonville Road. This is a fundraiser for the local EAA Chapter.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Lassen Municipal Utility District is sponsoring the Salvation Army Food shelf for the month of August. Their goal is to collect 500 pounds of food for the Salvation Army. In order to achieve it, they are reaching out to the public for assistance. They are doing a "Christmas in July" holiday lighting giveaway. The first 150 customers who bring in at least one non-perishable food item into their office will receive a 100-bulb strand of multi-colored LED holiday lights. Salvation Army Director Juanita Williams says they rely heavily on donations to keep the food shelf stocked.
FREE COMMUNITY PICNIC
Several local churches are sponsoring a free community picnic in the Janesville Park on July 14. The picnic will start at 10:30 a.m. and feature musical guests the Golden State Quartet. Lunch will be provided, but you are always welcome to bring your favorite potluck dish, and remember a blanket or lawn chair.
TURBO CHARGE YOUR INSURANCE
The new animated movie Turbo comes out July 17, and AAA is offering a special promotion to coincide with the movie release. Stop by the Susanville office and ask Bob Phelps about how you can get two free movie tickets.
