The raffle will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at the Lassen County Fair. JDX will perform the drawing and announce the winner.
The completed wood splitter, made by the welding students, is on display in the lobby of Plumas Bank.
Tickets are for sale at Susanville Supermarket IGA, Margie’s Book Nook, Idaho Grocery, JW Wood, Tum-A-Lum Lumber, Lassen County Chamber, Honey Lake Firearms, Payless Building Supply, High Desert State Prison, Billington Ace Hardware, Susanville Grocery Outlet, Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel, Lassen College Academic Service, The Pardner, Western Nevada Supply and at the Plumas Bank offices in both Susanville and Chester.
The scholarships are designed to encourage college vocational students to pursue a degree in their vocation. The scholarships allow students an opportunity to receive a cash award upon completion of their vocational degree.
