BE A HERO FOR KIDS WITH CANCER
Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel is hosting the first annual St. Baldrick’s Event, to raise money for lifesaving childhood cancer research. There are many ways to show your support: shave your head in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, donate or volunteer! On Saturday, May 18 at 3 p.m. the event will kick off in the Diamond Willow Room with Irish food and drinks. The Times’ own Sam Williams will be there getting his head shaved. Do your part to support this worthy cause in memory of the many local children who lost their battle with cancer. See their ad in this week’s paper for more details.

There were several winners with this year’s Customer Appreciation Days. Stacy Clark and Shawnee Adams both won a $100 shopping spree. EGAN PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT
Joe Egan has been promoted to senior vice president, manager of the agricultural services department for Plumas Bank. He joined the bank in 1999 and has over twenty years experience in the agricultural lending industry.
A Susanville native, he went to Lassen Union High School and graduated with a degree in agricultural and managerial economics from UC Davis.
Egan said he has a terrific team of experienced ag experts and enjoys working with them to help local farmers and ranchers meet their financial needs. He is a director of the Lassen County Cattlemen’s Association and the Lassen Irrigation District. He is also active with the Susanville Elks Lodge.
