Man found dead near Paiute Creek identified
April 3, 2013 — The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man found dead in Paiute Creek as longtime Susanville resident Barrie Inlay, 61.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the cause of death has not yet been determined and an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 3 at the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office in Reno, Nev.
According to the Susanville Police Department, there were no signs of obvious trauma to the body.
Early in the afternoon of Tuesday, April 2, deputies in conjunction with officers from the Susanville Police Department responded to the area near the North Street Bridge on a report of a deceased person.
The sheriff’s office holds the responsibility of coroner in Lassen County.
