| NEW SWEET SHOP IN TOWN While originally hailing from Boston, Carol Ingram and her family have called Susanville home since 1995. Carol has always had a passion for baking, as well as a lifelong dream of opening her own shop of sweet treats. In honor of her late parents, Carol is proud to announce the opening of Joanie and Frankie’s Cupcakes. In addition to cupcakes, Carol makes other “wicked good” treats including cookies, cakes and pies. Stop in and say hi and try something yummy. SPAGHETTI DINNER FOR COMMUNITY CENTER
Lassen D.E.N. (Devoted to Excellence in Neighborhoods) is hosting a spaghetti dinner to help raise money for a community center in Susanville. The dinner is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at the Diamond Mountain Casino. Tickets are available at the Casino Mini Mart or at the door. 35 YEARS IN BUSINESS
For 35 years, Sezzi Concrete has been providing Lassen County with concrete, road base, top soil and a variety of decorative rock. President Dan Sezzi operates the business his parents started. The Sezzi family has always been involved in community events and plans on continuing with that tradition.
Manager Shelley Marble tells us in honor of their anniversary they plan on having many specials during the year. Be sure and check out their ad in this week's paper for their current special.
BETTER MOMS MAKE A BETTER WORLD
Susanville Church of the Nazarene will be hosting their monthly MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting on the second Monday of each month at their church on Spring Ridge Drive.
According to Pastor Kathy, “This is a great opportunity for mothers to network and share ideas and concerns (about) parenting their preschoolers.”
Childcare will be provided. The next meeting is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 11. See their ad in this week’s paper for more information.
OPEN HOUSE
Pastor Tim Clark, at Lassen Missionary Baptist Church, is pleased to announce the completion of their building/remodeling project. To celebrate, they are hosting a community Open House from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8 inside their sanctuary on South Lassen Street in Susanville. Join them in celebrating their updated facility and enjoy complimentary refreshments, too.

NEW DRY CLEANING DROP-OFF SITE
County Cleaners in Susanville has found a new drop-off location in Chester for its Plumas County customers. Owner Penny Artz said they now work with JS Bookkeeping at 181 Main St., Suite 3, right by the Fly Shop. Dry cleaning and laundry is regularly shuttled to their Main Street Susanville location, where it is cleaned on site.
