Lassen Volcanic National Park rangers will lead snowshoe walks at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, Sunday, Dec. 23, Wednesday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Dec. 27. Meet at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center. Festival of Lights at the Lassen County Fairgrounds is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 5 to 8 p.m. Sundays until Christmas.  It will also be available for viewing from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 25.  

A Veterans Christmas party will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 in the lower level of the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street in Susanville.
