Assemblyman Dahle issues statement regarding Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
Friday, Dec. 7 — Assemblyman Brian Dahle, issued the following statement upon the occasion of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, which honors those service members injured or lost in the attack on military forces stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941:
“It is important to take time and reflect on those brave individuals who lost their lives during the attack on Pearl Harbor and honor those who survived the ordeal. The events of December 7th, 1941 changed the course of history and shaped the fate of an entire generation.
“Today, I join with my family in remembering not only the sacrifice of those in Hawaii, but in thanking veterans of every war and conflict, especially those here in the North State, for theircourageous dedication and service to our country. They are a steady and sobering reminder;freedom is a precious gift and one that has to be protected and preserved.”
