Man arrested in connection with armed robbery, another suspect still at large
A warrant for arrest has been issued for Patrick Donald McKee, 27, of Susanville, in connection with an armed robbery at the Beacon gas station. According to the Susanville Police Department (SPD), McKee is noticeably thinner than he appears in the photograph it has released and it is reported he has a shaved head. McKee should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, they are encouraged to call the SPD's 24-hour dispatch center at 257-2171.
Monday, Nov. 26 — An investigation into an armed robbery at the Beacon gas station resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old Susanville man. The search continues for a second suspect in the case, according to the Susanville Police Department (SPD).
On Saturday, Nov. 24, Paul Carter Bauer, 18, of Susanville, was arrested on felony robbery, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon charges. According to a press release from the SPD, Bauer was unarmed when located and was arrested without incident. He was booked into the Lassen County Jail and is being held on a $43,000 bail.
Officers are still searching for Patrick Donald McKee, 27, of Susanville. According to the SPD, an exhaustive search for McKee has been conducted, but it has been unfruitful yet.
McKee is described as a white male adult at 5’11” tall, 160 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair, although the latest information is that he has a shaved head.
It has also been noted he is noticeably thinner than he appears in the photograph released by the SPD.
An arrest warrant for McKee has been issued by the Lassen Superior Court in the amount of $100,000 for charges of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
McKee should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone knows his whereabouts, or has any information about this case, they are urged to contact the SPD’s 24-hour dispatch center at 257-2171. You can remain anonymous.
The SPD developed and followed-up on leads in the case that occurred at the Beacon gas station at 1001 Main St. in the early morning of Nov. 22.
Upon arrival, a clerk reported he had been held up at gunpoint by two subjects who exited the store after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.
According to police chief Tom Downing a shot was fired during the incident. No injuries were reported.
