INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER
Plumas Bank has announced Leigh Calanglang has been appointed vice president information systems manager. He is responsible for network administration, eBanking, item processing and overseeing the customer resource center. Leigh has more than 13 years of technology experience, most recently as network administrator. He is a graduate of the University of Phoenix, earning his bachelor of science degree in information technology and his master’s degree in information systems.
“Leigh brings an ideal background to this key position in the bank. With his strong credentials, leadership capabilities and extensive experience in IT management, he will be an excellent addition to the Plumas Bank team,” said Rose Dembosz, executive vice president and operations manager.

WINE TASTING
The Susanville Sunrise Rotary club is hosting its 10th annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 16, at Jensen Hall. Tickets can be purchased from a Rotarian or at the door. This event is a major fundraiser for the group to assist in many projects throughout the year. TRASH SERVICE REMINDER
C & S Waste Solutions would like to remind everyone there will be no trash service Thanksgiving Day. All Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday customers will receive their normal service. Customers served on Thursday will be on Friday instead, and Friday customers will be picked up on Saturday.
IT'S A GIRL!
Matt and Cher Tinston, owners of Sky High Roofing, are the proud new parents of a little girl. Mia Jayde was born in Reno Nov. 2. She weighed 7 pounds and was 18-1/4 inches long. She joins her big sisters, Skylar and Lily, at home. Congratulations to everyone.
GINGERBREAD COMPETITION
Gift Boutique & Antiques is having a gingerbread competition; this is a benefit competition for the residents of Country Villa Riverview. Entry fee will be one holiday gift suited for a senior. (Gloves, slippers, scarves, candies and snacks, books, perfume, etc.) Items do not have to be wrapped; Gift Boutique will gift wrap for you. Bring entries to the store on or before Dec. 1 — enter as many items as you like. Judging will be done by ballot of customers and visitors until Dec. 15. Winners will be announced Dec. 17. All participants will receive an award. The grand prize will include a $50 gift certificate to shop in the store. First prizes will be announced in each category (child/under 14 and adults — houses and cookies) and will also include gift certificates. The Gift Boutique is located at 1430 Main St., Susanville.
