Lassen National Forest prescribed burning advisory
Nov. 20, 2012 — The Eagle Lake Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is planning two burns: two miles west of Antelope Lookout near county road 21, and northwest of Antelope Lookout near County Road 21 with details as follows:
Burn 1:
Descriptive Location: CAT ASPEN ENHANCEMENT pile burn — near Antelope Lookout and County Road 21, 32N06 Road
Type of Burn: Pile burn-Ponderosa pine and white fir timber litter
Total acreage: 26 acres
Planned initiation: Tuesday, Nov. 20 and Wednesday, Nov. 21
Duration of ignition: Total of one to two days depending on conditions
Estimated direction of smoke travel: Primarily north to northeast
Impacted communities or areas: Smoke will be visible from Highway 44 near Pine Creek, and there could be some short-term impacts from smoke

Burn 2:
Descriptive Location: BAILEY DFPZ Pile Burn – Five miles northwest of Antelope Lookout, County Road 21 and 112 Road intersection
Type of Burn: Pile burn —Ponderosa pine and White fir timber litter
Total acreage: 54 acres
Planned initiation is: Tuesday, Nov. 20 and Wednesday, Nov. 21
Duration of ignition: Total of one to two days depending on conditions
Estimated direction of smoke travel: Primarily east to northeast
Impacted communities or areas: Smoke will be visible from Highway 44, and there could be some short-term impacts from smoke
