Prescribed burning on Eagle Lake Ranger District
Nov. 19, 2012 — The Eagle Lake Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is planning on burning as follows, conditions permitting:
•Descriptive Location: Hook Dfpz Timber Sale area — near Harvey Mt. Lookout, 33N02 Road and State Highway 44
•Total acreage: 66 acres
•Planned initiation: Monday, Nov. 19 through Wednesday, Nov. 21
•Duration of ignition: Total of one to two days depending on conditions
•Type of burn: Pile burn; Ponderosa pine and white fir timber litter
•Estimated direction of smoke travel: Primarily east to northeast
•Impacted communities or areas: Smoke will be visible from Highway 44, and there may be some short-term impacts from smoke
