Nov. 9, 2012 — The Lassen County Farm Bureau (LCFB) will hold it’s annual meeting and dinner Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Susanville Elks Lodge located at 400 Main St. in Susanville.
This year the event will feature guest speaker, Susan Adele, from the National Fish and Wildlife Department, who will talk about opportunities for landowners, updates on Journey (OR7), the grey wolf who visited our area this year, and the possible listing of Eagle Lake Trout as endangered species.
Following the speaker, guests will be treated to a performance by Reno comedian “Tall, Dark & Hilarious” Marc Yaffee, who was a comedian co-star to Pow Wow Comedy. In addition, Distinguished Service Award recipient, Ceci Dale-Cesmat, will be honored and new officers will be announced.
If you are a voting agricultural member of the LCFB, you are invited to join a meeting at 5:30 p.m. There will be a social hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and the speaker/comedian show starts at 8 p.m.
The tri-tip dinner and dessert costs $23 per person. There will also be a no-host bar. The LCFB asks guests to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the 2012 Food-4-Families program. Five items or more will get you $1 off a ticket.
