Winter road conditions for Monday, Oct. 22
Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 — Highway 395 in the Northern California area has a high wind advisory in effect from the Nevada state line to Johnstonville — travel is not recommended for campers, trailers or permit loads.
On Highway 36, chains or snow tires are required from 4 miles west of Westwood to 10 miles west of Susanville (Fredonyer Summit).
On Highway 44 chains or snow tires are required from 8 miles west of Bogard Ranger Station to Bogard Ranger Station; chains are required on single axle drive vehicles towing trailers from Bogard Ranger Station to the junction of Highway 36.
