Notice of Non-Judicial Forfeiture Proceedings
On February 25, 2012, at U.S. Highway 395, Peterson Mountain Access Road, Lassen County, California, the following property was seized by the Lassen County Narcotics Task Force in connection with violations of Sections 13352 of the California Health and Safety Code:
Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($2,200.00) in United States currency.
Pursuant to section 11488.4(j) of the California Health and Safety Code, an administrative proceeding is now underway to forfeit the seized property to the State of California. If you claim an interest in this property, you must, within 30 days of the date of first publication of this notice, file a verified claim stating the nature of your interest in the seized property with the Clerk of the Court, Courthouse, 220 South Lassen Street, Susanville, California 96130. You may obtain a claim form from the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office. Notice of Planning Commission Vacancy
One full four-year term on the City of Susanville Planning Commission has expired.  This notice constitutes the notice under Government Code '54974.  No appointment shall be made to fill the vacancy for ten days after the final posting of this notice.
The Planning Commission consists of five (5) City residents who are responsible for advising the City Council and making decisions for the City in the area of land use, environmental review and development.  The Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor, with Council approval, and serve four-year terms.  At a minimum, responsibilities include attendance at two monthly meetings and reviewing development projects.  The Planning Commission=s meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m.  All Commissioners must be residents of the City of Susanville.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the City=s Planning Commission, please submit a letter of interest to Mayor Rod E. De Boer, ATTN:  City Clerk, 66 No. Lassen Street, Susanville.  Letters should be received by October 5, 2012 and should include a brief resume.

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration
Request for Public Comment/Review: Initial Study - Mitigated Negative Declaration, Butte Creek Restoration Project
The Pit Resource Conservation District (RCD), acting as Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), has submitted a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Butte Creek Restoration Project.  The public is invited to review and comment on this report.  The Pit RCD intends to adopt the Mitigated Negative Declaration after receiving comments from Trustee and Responsible Agencies, and the public.  The project involves restoring the Butte Creek in northeast Lassen County near Adin by implementing the “pond and plug” restoration technique.  The Pit RCD will receive comments between September 11th and October 11th, which are the starting and ending dates for the review period.  Please contact Sharmie Stevenson (299-3405) at pitrcd@frontiernet.net if you wish to review the document, which is held at the Pit RCD office
