Lots of painting, pounding and preparation are going on inside the all new Zaengles Floor & Home store in Susanville. Joe, Nancy and Mark Zaengle tell us the new store will have everything you need or want for your home. If you don't see it in the store they will be happy to order something for you.
Shipments are now arriving, and they plan on opening in about six weeks. They will be featuring this season's new colors and styles. If you're planning on redecorating, the Zaengles will be happy to assist you.
They are located next to the bowling alley in Susanville.
MEET AND GREET
Local Susanville businessman Brian Wilson is running for a seat on the Susanville City Council. He is hosting a Meet and Greet at his State Farm office from 5 to 7 p.m. this Friday evening, March 23. SURGERY OPEN HOUSE
Banner Lassen Medical Center is hosting a Surgery Open House from 2 to 4 p.m.March 21. The open house will include a presentation from surgery staff and anesthesia, who will speak to the public about preparing for surgery. The open house will conclude with a tour of the state-of-the-art operating room.

Carrie Thomas, of Heritage Makers, is hosting an open house at Party and Main (located at 2208 Main Street in Susanville) from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24. EDNA’S AUTHENTIC INDIAN TACOS
The Shaffer Elementary School’s 2012 8th-grade class is hosting an Indian Taco Sale, featuring “Edna’s Authentic Indian Tacos,” from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at the SIR Resource Center, 745 Joaquin St. in Susanville.Advance tickets are $5 (call 254-6070 or 254-6623) or $6 at the door. A yard sale will also be running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds from both events will help fund the 8th grade end-of-year trip which, includes a Giants baseball game.
