RICHARD SUMNER MACDONALD CECIL FRANK CHAFEE MARCY ANN COSCARELLI RICHARD SUMNER MACDONALD Richard Sumner “Mac” MacDonald went to be with our Lord on Aug. 28, 2009 from complications of diabetes. He was born Oct. 27, 1937 in Wolfeboro, N.H., to George and Edna MacDonald. Mac served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. He than attended college to become an accountant. He retired from the California Correctional Center in December 2003 after 20-1/2 years of service as an accountant. He was very active with the VFW Post in Westwood for many years. He served in various positions in the area and district. Mac lived in Lassen County for more than 50 years living in Susanville then in Westwood coming from the Bay area. He will be missed by his many commrads, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three brothers in New Hampshire, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces and best friend Larry Dahlen. Per Mac’s request, there was no formal service. He was laid to rest in Westwood Cemetery on Sept. 30, 2009. CECIL FRANK CHAFEE Cecil Frank Chafee died on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009. MARCY ANN COSCARELLI Marcy Ann Coscarelli, born on March 27, 1953, in Buffalo, NY, died on Oct. 12, 2009 in San Jose, Calif. She had three children, six sisters and two brothers.
