Police arrest woman in connection with stabbing
SPD captain Tom Downing identified Hicks’ boyfriend as 28-year-old Susanville resident Raymond Raines. Police confirmed that the wound was non-life threatening, meaning no vital organs were hit by the weapon.
Raines was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center for treatment of the wound.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Hicks, who was booked into the Lassen County Adult Detention facility for alleged assault with a deadly weapon. Downing said Hicks was claiming self-defense in the incident.
