LISELOTTE ANDERSON
Longtime Westwood resident Liselotte Anderson passed from this life peacefully Monday, Sept. 1, 2008 at Enloe Medical Center, in Chico, Calif.

Born in Mannheim, Germany on Dec. 20, 1936, she immigrated to the United States at the young age of 18. Liselotte first settled in the south before moving to San Francisco and then Westwood some 30 years ago.

Liselotte was a passionate animal rights advocate and enjoyed taking in any animal in need. She was respected in the community for her time and expertise in nursing strays back to health and finding caring homes for the animals.

In Liselotte’s passing, she leaves her loving companion Lloyd Taylor of Westwood, Calif., brother Klous Gabberdeale, sisters; Irngard Gabberdeal, aunt; Anita Korner and niece; Gerlinda Hann, all of Germany.

A celebration of Liselotte’s life will take place at the Ginn Mill, located in the mining town of Seneca, Calif., Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 from 1-5 p.m.

Inurnment will take place in the Westwood Cemetery at a later date.

JOHN RODDEN
John Rodden passed from this world into the presence of our Savior on Tuesday, the 9th of September 2008.

John was a dedicated educator and served as an elementary teacher at Janesville School for almost all of his adult life. He was a caring, creative and dedicated teacher with a whimsical sense of humor. John gave freely of himself in service to his community and took a genuine, passionate interest in improving his world.

He loved cars and motorcycles and maintained an extensive collection of them in whole or partial condition. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. A celebration of John’s life will be held at 2 p.m., at Janesville School on Saturday, Sept. 27.

This event will have a Hawaiian theme so dress accordingly. John is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Keisha, six grandchildren, as well as nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, and two ex-wives who love him dearly. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Kidney Foundation in his name.

DOLORES M. SATICA-BERTANZONI-WOOD
Dolores M. Satica-Bertanzoni-Wood passed away Sept. 6, at her home in Susanville, Calif.

She was born June 26, 1919 to Robert and Bernardnia Satica, she was born at the Satica Ranch on Gold Run Road.

She lived her entire life in Susanville and was married to Phil Bertanzoni for 30 years and after his death in 1968 she married Lloyd Wood, who passed away in 1994.

Her five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by her son and his wife Phil and Dianne Bertanzoni, and her daughter and her husband, Lorraine and Bill Weston. In addition she leaves behind four loving granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.

TERESSA KIMBERLY HARDESTY-CLARK
Teressa Kimberly Hardesty-Clark died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 7, 2008 at Enloe Medical Center located in Chico, Calif..

She was born just 25 years ago in Riverside, Calif., to Terry Hardesty and Shella Turner on Feb. 10, 1983.

She is survived by her husband Casey and daughters Hailey Raedean Clark and Kelsey Leeann Clark, all of Hamilton Branch, Calif., her dad Terry Hardesty, of Chester, Calif., her mom Shella Turner, of Cuba, Miss.; brother Robert Hardesty, of Chico, Calif., sisters Delilah Pahl and brother-in-law Darren Pahl, of Rocklin, Calif., and Leeann Hardesty, of Chester, Calif., loving nephew, Andrew Turner, of Rocklin, Calif., uncles; Melvin Turner, of Chester, Michael Hardesty, of San Diego, Calif., cousins; Kristen Hardesty, of Chester, Calif., Aaron Hardesty, of Chico, and best friends; Casey Nunn and Tony Domday, both of Chester.

A celebration of Teressa's life will take place at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at the Lake Almanor Community Church.

JOSEPH PALAZZI
Joseph Palazzi died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008 at Enloe Hospital in Chico. He was born at Engle Mine on Dec. 8, 1917 to parents Joseph Palazzi and Maria Morandi Palazzi, both of Italy.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine, children, Jolene Palazzi and Gary Palazzi, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

A celebration of Joe's life to include military honors took place at the graveside in the Greenville District Cemetery Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008. An opportunity to express your condolences to the family along with signing the memorial guest register is available online at fehrmanmortuary.com.
