Saturday, June 13, 2015 — Each year, Lassen High School geometry students are tasked with taking an object and enlarging it by a scale factor of more than two.
Students are required to enlarge two sides with the details, but some go beyond the guidelines and earn WOW points from their teachers.
Math teachers Jason Meadows, Christie Cornelison and Jessica Larson and some of their students presented WOW projects during a special June 1 meeting of the Lassen Union High School District Board of Trustees.
Some of this year’s WOW projects included a book that opened and included the details of the first few pages and a matchbook enlarged by a scale factor of 10.
