A budget was approved by the Susanville City Council at its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 4, despite a projected loss of $220,805 for the 2008-2009 fiscal year.

The votes have been counted and Joe Franco will join seasoned Councilmembers Lino Callegari, Doug Sayers, Vern Templeton and Kurt Bonham in making decisions for the city of Susanville.
  

Johnstonville 1st grader reads 150 words per minute

June 17, 2008 — For being an outstanding student and good citizen, Mary Cizin, a first-grade student at Johnstonville School, was one of the youngest students in Lassen County to be recognized by the Lassen County Charter of the Association of California School Administrators.
