Lack of plan approval increases costs for juvenile hall group home

Oct. 2, 2007 — Taxpayers will have to pay close to $10,000 more because Lassen County awarded bids for a group home at the Juvenile Hall using plans that did not meet residential building codes.

Power outage causes a transformer to catch fire

Oct. 9, 2007 — A blown transformer one mile west of Leavitt Lake burned a conductor through power lines between 7:15-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, causing a power outage that affected much of Lassen County.
