Supervisors unable to take action on Dyer Mountain Resort again

Sept. 18, 2007 — The Lassen County Board of Supervisors was unable to take action last week on the Dyer Mountain Four Season Resort environmental impact report, development agreement and tentative parcel map because the developer hasn’t completed necessary documentation.

Sept. 18, 2007 — Long after the Moonlight Fire has been extinguished and the firefighters go home, it will be remembered. There is the scorched earth it leaves behind, photos snapped from a multitude of vantage points and the news coverage. Also there are the commemorative T-shirts, sweatshirts and beanies that firefighters, their family members and local residents will wear.

Loaded gravel truck slams through Uptown apartment building

Sept. 18, 2007 — A 1998 Kenworth commercial truck carrying two trailers of gravel down Highway 36 toward Uptown Susanville slammed into the backside of the Nevada Arms Apartments around 9:12 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
